Originally published circa 1920s, this rare issue features illustrations and instructions for knitting and crochet patterns to create a Dorothy Maud coat, Sirdar coat, Evelyn coat, Helen coat, Hendon insertion and lace for a tea cloth, Aurora dress (for a girl age 6-8 years), Gladys afternoon jumper, Radiant coat, Marya jumper (for a girl age 12-18 years), Cynthia jumper frock, embroidered table center, Dickie romper suit (for a boy age 2 years), Capri sports coat (for a girl age 10 years), Lennie jumper and cap (for a boy age 2-4 years), Winifred coat, Alice knitted dress (for a girl age 7-9 years), Lulu knitted silk coat, designs for dress embroidery and other articles, Cowslip jumper, Noss jumper, Dagmar evening jumper, and Lily doily.This issue also features an article on Azorean Work (sometimes called Fayal Work). This exquisite needlecraft involves whipping and darning threads from an existing piece of linen. Elaborate designs are shown as an example of the fancy work and beginner instructions are provided on the technique of creating this type of needlecraft.This publication is a fabulous look back at a great era for fashion with fantastic coat, jumper, and craft projects with unique designs, yet classic styles, that can still be worn today.
